Stambaugh Secures Grant Funding to Improve Local Infrastructure

December 18, 2025

HARRISBURG – Rep. Perry Stambaugh (R-Perry/Juniata) is pleased to announce the approval of state grants through the Local Share Account (LSA) program to assist several initiatives in the 86th State House District.

“The funds will be put to good use to improve the quality of life in our communities,” Stambaugh said. “Improving infrastructure remains a key to building up our local economy.”

The LSA funds for the district are:

Bloomfield Borough Water Authority: $300,000 for a West End project that involves replacing and extending 3,200 feet of water lines, replacing 15 residential connections, adding a hookup to the Karns Plaza and connections to four other commercial buildings (including the LDS Church and Perry County Assistance Office), and installing fire hydrants.

Delaware Township: $150,000 to construct a new salt shed to take over for a deteriorating 50-year-old storage building. The new facility will not only allow the township to properly store salt and cinders for winter road maintenance but other materials as well.

All of the projects were approved by the Commonwealth Financing Authority, an independent agency of the PA Department of Community and Economic Development. The grants were funded through the LSA, supported by revenue collected as part of Pennsylvania’s Gaming Act, not by taxpayer dollars.
