Stambaugh Announces Funding for Perry, Juniata Historical Societies

December 12, 2025

NEW BLOOMFIELD – Rep. Perry Stambaugh (R-Perry/Juniata) today reported that the Juniata County Historical Society and the Historical Society of Perry County have both received funding through the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission Cultural and Historical Support Grant Program. Each received $9,000, for a combined $18,000.

“We are fortunate to live in an area with rich histories and to have organizations that showcase our heritage,” Stambaugh said. “This funding will help our dedicated local historical societies continue the great work they are doing.”

Grants awarded to the Juniata County Historical Society will be used for maintaining the group’s properties, along with helping cover electricity costs in the Archives Room, purchasing conservation supplies, and printing and mailing newsletters.

The Historical Society of Perry County will use its monies to support administrative assistance in reorganizing, preserving, and cataloging archives located at the Fetter House in Landisburg.
